The Miracle of Compassionate Hands and Welcoming Hearts

The Hospice House is a cozy "home away from home" for its patients. At its core, the House is a high-tech medical facility, its technology discreetly hidden beneath colorful decor and a light, airy atmosphere. Patients are encouraged to bring comforting items from home for their new room at the House.
Hospice House: Patient Rooms

Patient room view 1
Patient rooms in the Hospice House and Patient Care Facility are outfitted with fully functioning hospital beds that do not have an institutional appearance. The bed shown has support rails and mechanized incline functions, while retaining a homelike feel. Other patient room comforts include pull-out bed/chairs, recliners, and cable television. Patients and family members are encouraged to bring comforting items from home, like the folding photo screen shown above.

Private porch off patient room

Some patient rooms have private patios; all have access to porches and gazebos overlooking the flowers and wildlife at the Main Campus. Despite its closeness to Highways 321 and 10, PCHCV remains secluded — higher elevation and nearby woods create privacy from local traffic.
